# Check Eligibility

POST https://pre-api.joincandidhealth.com/coverages/v1//{id}/eligibility
Content-Type: application/json

Initiates an eligibility check. Returns the metadata of the check if successfully initiated.

## Authentication

- OAuth2 — send the obtained token as `Authorization: Bearer <token>`

### Path parameters

- `id` (UUID, required) — The unique identifier for a Coverage in the database
